Is it just me, or does the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas feel especially short this year? I find those weeks to sometimes be a blur, so I love the tradition of Advent calendars (or Christmas countdowns) to try to be more mindful about enjoying each of those exciting days! Here are a few DIY versions that I love:

This one is from Oh Happy Day - I've loved it for years!

This one has little treats inside the bags, but I actually like the exterior most! I love the idea of slowly decorating the tree with one more ornament or trinket every day.

I got a little nervous when I saw that the instructions to this one were in German (the days of my college German classes are far behind me!), but it's very easy to follow the photo instructions. And you'll never guess what those pouches originally were!

This one is lovely and simple, and I like the idea of writing acts of kindness to accomplish every day on the back of the numbers.
