Can you believe it's already March?!
Winter has come and gone, and with spring in the air,
I was inspired to celebrate with a fun and simple craft you can do with your little ones.
Today, we're making a shredded paper bird nest!
This craft is easy, budget-friendly, and the final result is absolutely adorable.
DIY Bird's Nest Craft
Supplies:
-
Glue, rubber cement, or Mod Podge
(dilute with water if needed)
-
Shredded paper (old catalogs, newspaper, or construction paper—anything works!)
-
Saran wrap
-
Paintbrush (optional, depending on adhesive type)

HERE ARE THE STEPS:
Step 1

Shred or cut paper (I used a paper shredder to save time).
Step 2

Wrap a bowl in Saran Wrap—this will determine the size of your nest.
Step 3

Use a brush to spread glue over the saran wrap.
Step 4

Begin layering paper in a crisscross pattern.
Step 5

Keep layering until the bottom is fully covered.
Step 6

Continue layering up the sides of the bowl to form the nest shape.
Step 7

Let dry overnight.
Step 8

Gently peel saran wrap off nest.
Step 9

And just like that—your adorable bird nest is ready!
This craft is perfect for welcoming spring, decorating your home,
or even as a cute little project for Easter.
Happy crafting!
